Heliflite Signs A Contract For Eleven AgustaWestland Helicopters - 26 February 2008

AgustaWestland and Heliflite Pty Ltd of Australia are pleased to announce that Heliflite Pty Ltd of Australia have signed a contract for eleven new helicopters, comprising three AW119 Ke light single, two AW109 Power, five Grand light twin and one AW139 medium twin turbine helicopters. This contract is part of the framework of the existing multi-year contract and distribution agreement between AgustaWestland and Heliflite. The overall contract is valued at approximately US$ 68 million (€ 47 million).

Heliflite, based at Bankstown Airport, is a long established company providing a complete helicopter service to customers, including sales, servicing, spare parts and pilot training. The Australian helicopter industry has relied upon Heliflite for the past three decades and it is now expanding its helicopter range which now includes the state-of-the-art single-engine AW119 Ke through to the 15-seat AW139, which is the world’s best selling medium twin-engine helicopter on the market today. Additionally Heliflite is responsible for selling and supporting the AW109 Power and the Grand, both of which are achieving growing sales success in the light twin market in Australia and worldwide.

Heliflite is also the AgustaWestland Authorized Service Centre in Australia and provides support services to AgustaWestland commercial helicopter operators in Australia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. The establishment of additional service centres in Brisbane, Australia, and in Auckland, New Zealand, completes a network of service centres to assure complete support for the full range of AgustaWestland commercial helicopters in the region.
